Our love story began in one of the most unexpected places—prison. We were both working as Correctional Officers when we met, and from the start, there was something different about him. I was pregnant with my son at the time, and instead of showing up with flowers like most would, he brought me diapers and formula. That simple act spoke volumes about the kind of man he was—thoughtful, selfless, and willing to step into my life in a real and meaningful way.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory is the birth of our children. Today, Spencer is 22, thriving as a real estate agent, and carries the values of hard work and integrity he learned from his dad. Together, we raised two more amazing children: Jalynn, 18, who’s studying to become a respiratory therapist, and Brooklyn, 16, who has bravely faced her recent narcolepsy type one diagnosis.
