We met in Tallahassee, FL, through a mutual friend in 2014. Del worked at Walmart, and I was a customer. He accidentally forgot to ring up one of my items, and when I tried to return it, it wasn’t in the system. My friend reached out joking about the mix-up, and we’ve been talking ever since! Our bond grew over so many shared values: ambition, family, and the desire to be friends before anything serious. We loved to travel, and that became the foundation of our lasting relationship.

Our graduation trip to Hawaii in 2022 was pivotal. It was a time to unwind before the big move to Atlanta and transition to a two-income household. It was the first time we navigated purchasing a home together in another state while also planning our wedding. Amidst all the transitions, we explored Maui’s beauty and culture, and made lifelong memories. That trip gave us the confidence to face challenges ahead, and now we’ve accomplished so much together, with so much more to look forward to.

The $20,000 would help pay down debt and prepare our home to grow our family. We’ve worked hard to create a strong foundation, and having the opportunity to secure our future while navigating residency and our careers would be amazing. The money would bring us closer to our dreams of starting a family and continuing to grow together as we tackle new challenges in this life we created together.
