I am a 3 time cancer survivor. My wife Amanda has been an absolute rock during my most recent battle. We love life and traveling the world!
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
Amanda was an intern on a mission trip to the summer camp I was working at. My boss told us to mingle with the people there for the mission week, so I choose to sit next to her for breakfast. We barely spoke, I was too nervous to talk to her. She asked me about my leg, I told her I had cancer as a kid, then immediately got quiet as I was too shy to say much else. We only knew each other 3 months before I had my leg amputated. She has been with me ever since, no matter what comes our way.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? One of our favorite memories is from our trip to Maine in 2021. We took a road trip, hiking, whale/dolphin watching, seeing the sunrise, trying lobster, camping it was a wonderful time. We also went to Ben and Jerry’s factory, Lake Placid, and Niagara Falls that trip. Being together for any activity is wonderful, however, experiencing new things together is our favorite!
What would you do with $20,000?Amanda and I would like to take a trip to Hawaii for our 10th wedding anniversary in 2027. We want to celebrate my victory over cancer and our love for one another in a big way! We have dear friends in LA that we would love to see on that trip as well! The rest of the money would go into savings to give us some financial stability for expenses like my future prosthetic legs or other medical issues that may arise.
