Connect How did your love story begin?

It started after almost a whole school year of friendship. Us both being teachers, I would go out of my way to run into Wes at the copy room or wherever else I could manage. On May 26, 2017, we went on our 1st date. Only issue was I was scheduled to go to a softball banquet too, so I treated myself like a Hobbit and ate twice. We went to a local place that served Pittsburgh style sandwiches, Bowsers! Food may have influence my emotions, but I felt safe & fell in love with fries on sandwich.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our dating years: chasing waterfalls & going on hikes. Hearing the words I love you as we watched a waterfall. Our wedding was incredible, especially the dance floor! The honeymoon was not the typical pick; our wedding priest was from Ireland, so he inspired our trip. We traveled to Dublin, Galloway, &Killarney; took trains, hit up pubs, &hiked. The highlight was seeing how big& beautiful the world looks alongside someone you love. The birth of our son was fated: 3/17/23 (St. Patrick’s Day).

What would you do with $20,000?

We would put some of the money towards our new house we are building. We would also put some of it into our children’s bank accounts to gain interest. We are responsible individuals in terms of money, but everything costs so much now that it’s hard to survive even when both working full time. Any amount of money can be beneficial.
