I recognized Darren while on a trip to Aruba with my son. I recognized him from many years ago when we were introduced and it blossomed into this! Back in January/February of 2023, I went to visit Aruba twice. Darren and my son spent time together, really got to know each other and it was apparent that they had a special bond. Darren then came to visit and stayed here for 6 weeks in March and another 4 weeks in July. After the 6 week trip from March of 2023, we then got engaged in June of 2023.

Getting engaged on the catamaran where we had our first date. And we planned an absolutely wonderful wedding in a span of only three weeks. Darren's parents came from Aruba for ten days. Additionally, we had about 50 wedding guests, which encompassed our closest family and friends. It was the most joyous day, and we were truly surrounded by love. Anyone there could feel the love in the room. We had a beautiful ceremony with added elements in Spanish so that Darren's parents felt included.

We would put a down payment on a house. We currently live in a tiny two bedroom apartment, just the three of us and we are out of space. We cannot have another baby until we have more room. The $20,000 would give us the opportunity to buy something together as Darren has just started his life here as a greencard holder! The money would help us greatly to get our life started in a bigger home and hopefully with a new baby!
