How did your love story begin?

We met through my husband’s aunt and my grandma. They have been best friends for over 30 years. My husband went to drop off a charcuterie board for his aunt; which is where my grandma saw him. My grandma initially forgot about me and wanted to set him up with someone from back home. When she called my mom to tell her about him, my mom screamed “did you forget about your granddaughter?!” She said “oh sh*t” and called her best friend right away. And the rest is history.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Dancing on the boardwalk where we had our first date. My tough-guy husband never used to dance in public, but he knows I love to. When we went back to the beach where he had our first date, there was a band playing covers of old songs. We were eating waffle sundaes in the parking lot when he turned and asked me if I wanted to dance. I was both shocked and excited; of course I said yes! We danced right by the band, in front of at least 75 people; marking the first of many public dances.

What would you do with $20,000?

The $20,000 would help us with finding a home. We’re hoping to start a family soon. We would love to move out of our apartment and into a home with enough rooms for our future kiddos!
