We have had everything possible, thrown at us (autism job loss)and we’re still together and still in love.
We would like to thank you for supporting The Prices in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Leah was my best friend’s sister. She said, “Y’all should be roommates.” We talked. We went on one date and realized: yeah… we can’t live together. we like (like liked 😜)each other. Everyone said, “You can’t date your roommate.” So, five months later, we got married. Problem solved. That was 24 years ago. Turns out, dating your roommate is a bad idea… unless you marry them. 😄
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? It’s hard to pick one favorite memory—Leah’s always convincing me to try new things. We’ve chased ghost crabs, gardened liked were in an HGTV reality show, and spent entire afternoons collecting seashells like we were prepping for an ocean-themed heist. She makes every ordinary moment feel like an adventure… and occasionally like a rom-com blooper reel. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
What would you do with $20,000?We’d finish Leah’s nursing degree and save for our kids’ future. Raising autistic adults comes with love, joy, and a lot of unknowns—this would give us peace of mind. If anything’s left, we’d escape to the beach, just the two of us. No schedules, no stress—just waves, laughter, and quiet moments reminding us why we fell in love in the first place.
