We would like to thank you for supporting The Porambos in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We both grew up in shaky homes with little money. Me met at work in a knitting mill we both used to work at. We had to bust our backs for anything we got, but hard work truly pays off in so many ways when you share the same history and goals. When we got together it was 0 to 100 in 2 seconds. But we are still together, married over 26 years. It has truly been a blessing. Best friends make the best partners. Truly.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Enlisting in the Army together as a married battle buddy team. It made us stronger in so many ways. Accomplishing that at at ages 29 and 32 was a bit of a feat, being with mostly 18-20 years olds was a great physical and mental challege. Would we do it again? Sure... but 10 years earlier!!
What would you do with $20,000?Probably finally take a vacation. We haven't been on one in over a decade. Do some things to help others.
