How did your love story begin?

We were just acquaintances in high school. A few months after graduation, we reconnected at a friend’s going-away party. We talked all night and fell asleep mid-conversation. It wasn’t planned, but something clicked. From that night on, we’ve been inseparable. It’s the kind of love that sneaks up on you quietly, then stays—deep, steady, and full of warmth you didn’t know you were missing.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our favorite memories is a trip to Galveston early in our relationship. We hadn’t said “I love you” yet. While walking the beach, Jeff picked up a stick and wrote it in the sand. Then he asked me to read it. When I said, “I love you,” he smiled and said, “I love you too.” It was the first time we said it—and it was perfectly us: sweet, simple, and full of heart.

What would you do with $20,000?

We’d use the $20,000 to fix our backyard for our dogs—it floods & turns into what we call “Shrek Swamp.” We want to level it, add drainage & give them a safe space to play. We’d also use it to renew our vows in Scotland for our 10-year anniversary. Scotland holds deep meaning for us—it feels like home to our hearts. I have family there, & renewing our love in that sacred place would be a dream come true.
