Connect How did your love story begin?

Mike & I were friends in high school. We went our separate paths but stayed in touch. He came home & found I was in an emotional abusive relationship. My bff had been trying to get me out for years. We picked our friendship back up, & at first he was trying to help me. But then, I started to fall for him. I found out later from my bff, that Mike had told her, “it doesn’t matter if I get to date her or not, I just want her to be safe & happy, even if it’s not with me.” I fell hard for him ❤️.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

My birthday is 12/26, so it’s never been very special, but I still love Christmas. Mike proposed to me on my birthday w/a claddagh ring, just the 2 of us, in my favorite pine tree garden. And my bday gift, he made me a Scottish lady through that small land program. We laughed & smiled so much that day. He made me love my bday again ❤️.

What would you do with $20,000?

In 2021 Mike became sick w/Long Haul Covid. We’re on year 4 and he’s been to NIH, John’s Hopkins, etc. I married him in his condition & told him now is our in sickness moment, but we’re going to fight to get you better. I would put every cent towards his medical care & finding a cure for him. I’ll never stop fighting for the man I love. Maybe I could get Dr. Ben Carson to take on his medical case. We’ve established this is physically in his brain, so we need the best neurosurgeon we can find.
