Simply that we are in love. We met at 15 in rough neighborhoods and have held on to each other as we endured the climb to success together.

We met at the Bronx Zoo in an afterschool program for different high schools, so we came across each other despite going to separate schools. He was lovestruck, but it was the first time I thought a guy was out of my league so I paid him no mind! We were friends for a year and the second phase of the program, he was bold enough to sit next to me. We were grouped for a project so he got to come to my home. He came over everyday after school until we started dating.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?I hated eating my school lunches in high school and would often skip eating. One day after a doctor’s appointment, I told him the doctor had told me I could develop ulcers if I continued skipping lunch. Without hesitation, he began to come over before we both left to school with a deli sandwich, chips, and a mango juice (my favorite) packed for me. It’s when I knew he was the one.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000, we’d be able to invest into our futures. I have a budding business that I’ve used our own savings to begin this year, so we’d invest a bit there and the rest would go towards buying our first home. We’ve been doing our best to succeed to be able to afford helping our retired immigrant parents financially and hopefully start a family of our own someday.
