We met when Josh moved from Chicago to join the seminary Kyrissa was already in. She wasn’t interested at first—until her friend Byrd gave her a little pep talk and told her to give the guy a chance. Good call, Byrd. We started dating in June 2008 and were married one year later in June 2009.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?It’s not just one memory—it’s thousands. Our favorite memories are around doing music together. Music has always been our way to connect, decompress, and stay in love. Josh plays guitar, I sing, and over the years we’ve learned tons of songs and started writing our own. It’s how we process life together—like journal entries in melody form.
What would you do with $20,000?We would put the money into our music! We want to get our songs recorded! Our art is limited to our circle and we would love to share it with the world. How amazing would it be to have the funds to record our first album professionally!
