Connect How did your love story begin?

We crossed paths as I was transferring out of Stevenson University while he was transferring in, but reconnected first as friends bartending across the street from each other. At the time, I was seeing someone else so I thought it best to try and set him up with my best friend. Luckily, neither worked out and we decided to give each other a chance. Funny looking back at it that our time together was yet to arrive.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

As insignificant as it may seem, the day we stopped bartending together is our favorite memory. We have worked multiple jobs for a few years, with these last three being spent working at the same bar on the weekends. As much as we enjoy spending time together, we've finally been able to sit down and enjoy the little things that life has to offer. Do not get me wrong we spent the first two weeks being couch potatoes, but we also started taking walks, focusing on our mental health and enjoying us.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would by lying if we did not say it would go towards purchasing a home, but we would like to renew our vows next year in Wisconsin. Sean’s mom had a medical emergency the week going into our wedding, and rather than being there she was in the ICU watching the ceremony through a zoom call. We would like to give her the ceremony she was unable to have, and I would like my husband to have his dance with his mother. His father passed away a few years ago, and his mother means everything.
