It began in the fall of 1999. We both were students at Charleston Southern University. We have met previously that fall in passing. However, it really started the day she left her friends dorm (my neighbor) and as she walked by my door I noticed her tears. I stopped her and as we conversed and I did the best I could to listen that started a beautiful friendship that within 6 weeks it turned into romance. She kissed me fist BTW... She wont sit it but its true.

Oh gosh, so many... Our wedding day. Our honeymoon. The birth of each of my kids is a memory I can't forget. The wedding of our son & the welcoming of his bride. The pain I have caused her but the forgiveness she has extended. But I think if I had to pick one memory, the day she surprised me by coming with me to a work trip. She surprised me by showing up at the airport before my flight and she even booked the seat next ti mine. It filled me up with love. Im sure she has her story too.

We do rest retreats for people in ministry or non for profits. Most of them are folks that can't afford a vacation or the vacation they do take, they have to bring the kids or are conferences. But we create space for them to be able to go to a place where they can be refreshed and renewed as couples. To rekindle the love they once had that at times gets lost with life. To find rest, together, and be involve in intentional conversations that lie they spirits. I will use the funds for scholarships
