I posted a photo with him at the restaurant where I worked, and Luke—who delivered our paychecks and went to high school with me—saw it on Facebook. He asked our bookkeeper about it, left his number, and she passed it to me. One text turned into forever. Who knew a childhood icon and a handwritten number would lead me to the love of my life?
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?After our wedding, we escaped to his family’s cabin in the Berkshires. With no cell service, cable, or Wi-Fi, we unplugged completely. Days were spent indoors with some VHS and DVDs, and outdoors, with nights by the fire. It was peaceful, quiet, and just us—no distractions. After the whirlwind of a big wedding, it was the perfect chance to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy each other’s company in a way we hadn’t in a long time.
What would you do with $20,000?If we won $20,000, we’d take my mom, who’s bravely battling metastatic cancer on her dream trip to Ireland or Alaska, which are two lifelong wishes on her bucket list. I’d also finally renovate our kitchen to create a warm, inviting space where family and friends can gather for holidays and memories. After 6+ years together, it’s time to make our house truly feel like home.
