Connect How did your love story begin?

We met in 8th grade. He was actually dating one of my friends at the time. We went through high school together but drifted apart on different paths. We remained friends. We graduated and went to the same college but had lost touch after high school. A couple years later he messaged me on Facebook and we started talking again. We talked for a few months before we began dating. We dated for 3 months, got engaged for 3 months, and have now been married for 10 years and counting!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Of course our wedding! But another great memory we have is our first cruise together! We spent 7 days together traveling to parts of the Caribbean that we had never been to before! We went our excursions that allowed us to interact with exotic animals, taste food we’ve never tasted, and snorkel in the bright blue waters. It was an amazing trip and one we will never forget!

What would you do with $20,000?

We would plan a trip to New York during the winter! It’s our dream trip together. We didn’t really get to celebrate our 10 year anniversary due to finances and other hurdles at the time. But the rest of it we would save, as we would like to grow our savings! We would also put some money away for a college fund for each of our kids. We have 4 kids! No matter what, it would help tremendously, as I’m sure it would for many others!
