Connect How did your love story begin?

It all started in the liquor room. We shared true loves kiss and our weak knees and fireworks were undeniable. I went away for the weekend for my 23rd birthday and upon my return I asked if he wanted to grab a burrito. That night we talked for hours, drawing pictures to understand each other's story and have been together every night since for the last 38 years.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

There are so many to choose from and certainly our children's births are right up there! But, our 30th wedding anniversary we headed to Ensenada wine country to renew our vows and pledge our love to each other. To my surprise Antonio got down on one knee ( he didn't do this the first time) and asked if I would marry him all over again. Of course I said yes and it was special to share this moment with our children and spend a magical night of dinner and dancing.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would definitely use this money as a down payment to end our housing insecurity. After raising four children and owning a home, then selling it to care for our father, we have never been able to capture the dream of home ownership again. We dream of homeownership to watch our future grand babies and family grow. We would love to also hold a little bit back as well to have a second honeymoon to Greece.
