Our meeting was fate: Diana asked me to dance and we've been together ever since, marrying after less than 6 months together long distance.
We would like to thank you for supporting The Muranaka Flores Family in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
I met her on a business trip in her home country of El Salvador. I had waited 2 weeks to visit the beach, and she rarely visited the beach after sundown, but by chance we ended up at the same bar. She had seen me, but I was with friends and had actually been talking to another young woman for a time. When the other woman left, my (future) wife asked me to dance. It was love at first site, we married after 6 months, and I moved from the USA to El Salvador. We've now been married 14 years.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? We lived in her home country of El Salvador for 7 years before moving the to USA (my home country) to start a family. After months of planning, we finally boarded our flight with all of our belongings in 2 suitcases. We arrived at LAX, but our 2 rescue dogs were aboard a separate flight. When we picked up our dogs, they were mistaken for celebrity dogs, and we were treated very well by the staff. It was a funny accident, the celebrity dog was aboard a later flight, and the host was mortified.
What would you do with $20,000?We love to travel, and after having children we haven't been able to travel as often. We would love to plan a dream family vacation to either Italy or Africa (Morocco) with our daughters.
