28 years and we still choose each other daily. Enjoy family, invest in others, pray together, play together.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
We met in college, me smitten, her unimpressed. But as our friend groups overlapped, laughter and late nights turned into something real. I’ll never forget looking over at her one day and knowing: that’s forever. We waited, we honored the timing, and in 1994 we began dating. A year later, we were engaged. By August ’96, she was my wife, and has been my best friend ever since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? After 7 years of infertility, we pursued adoption. Kristina lived in Guatemala for 14 months to foster our daughter and complete the process with integrity. Soon after Mia came home, something unexpected happened… Kristina became pregnant. Twice. Carter and Michelle followed. That season defined us: patient, faithful, and in it together.
What would you do with $20,000?We’d give the first 10% away—always. The rest would help us build a long-awaited down payment on a home. We’d sneak away for a much-needed weekend together and plan something meaningful for our kids. After years of serving others, it would be a gift to invest in rest, roots, and joy for our family.
