How did your love story begin?

Our love story began 10 years ago. I was 25 and he was 19, a friend of my sister’s who started spending more time with my brother-in-law. I began seeing more of him too. Slowly, I started to realize I was falling for this younger man, something I tried hard to shake off. The age gap made me hesitant… but he never rushed me. He was kind, patient, and handled our growing friendship with such care and maturity. Over a few months, I let my guard down and went all in. And here we are!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our favorite memories as a couple is our trip to Puerto Rico. It was the first vacation we ever took together. I grew up visiting the island because I had family there, but experiencing it with him was completely different. Even though it was his first time there, he took the lead and somehow found places and experiences I had never discovered before. It made a familiar place feel brand new, and sharing that adventure together made it unforgettable.

What would you do with $20,000?

When we got married, we eloped—no wedding, no honeymoon. We made the decision to start fresh, packed up, and moved to a different state to build a new life together. As beautiful as that chapter was, we’ve always dreamed of having the chance to celebrate the way we never got to. If we were awarded the $20,000, we’d finally take the honeymoon we’ve always talked about—a multi-country adventure, exploring the world together, creating the kind of memories we’ve been waiting years to make.
