Connect How did your love story begin?

Let me set the stage for you. 2011, around 7pm at night, I’m at worship practice as I sing in the church on Hurlburt Field Air Force base. We were having try outs that night for a guitar player, and little did I know, my life was about to change forever. In walked a tall, dark and handsome TACP (also active duty) and I was immediately smitten. I leaned over to our lead singer and whispered, “that for sure would get me up Sunday morning on time. “ Six months later, we were married:)

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

It’s so hard to pick one. We’ve shared 13 years of our lives together. We’ve changed jobs, moved across the United States. We’ve walked through deployments and long distance. We’ve shared four birthing stories and raising children. We teach and lead worship along side each other. We have a chicken farm where we work together in building coops, treating for sickness, caring and loving them. Teaching our children not only about farm life but ABC’s to fractions as we homeschool. There’s to many;)

What would you do with $20,000?

Honestly, a vacation. My husband is a Fire Fighter and gives so much of his time to our community. He just finished his bachelor’s in Fire Science. He leads worship at our church and serves on the medical and security team. He always finds time to be present with me and our children. He helps coach the kids basketball teams and cares for the 50 chickens in our backyard. And while he’s always been a wonderful partner. We live a beautiful, full and busy life. He deserves some rest ❤️
