We met during COVID on a dating app, and as such, we Zoom dated at first! Our first dates were “make your own adventure” stories—like the books you used to read as a kid. We mapped out adventures for one another to choose to go on (instead of books, we created PowerPoints with multiple story options). While one of us narrated the story line, the other one acted out the adventure a bit (if we saved the city from a dragon during a storm, we ran to grab an umbrella and a flash light)!

It’s really hard to choose just ONE memory as “our favorite memory.” We try to take stock in the little moments every day—our post-work walks around the neighborhood lake, Sunday morning cuddles with the cat, and evenings watching Florida’s sunsets. If we have to choose though, we choose our engagement. It was magical, surrounded by barn animals, and at a glamping site. That day, we even signed up for what we thought was goat yoga but ended up being a whole day, couple’s retreat and workshop!

We have many milestones coming up in our lives—we are getting married this year AND we are both turning 30! That said, the milestone we are most excited about is starting the next phase of our lives together, getting ready to start a family, and settling down in a house. We are and will continue saving money for a down payment while also making sure we are able to enjoy life now (we still love a good weekend trip, dinner date, appointments to get pedicures together, and snorkeling adventures)!
