We met in 2001 at a pool party at the Houston apartment community I managed and where Matt had just moved in. It was love at first sight. We became inseparable, and married in NYC on our 13th anniversary—just before marriage equality became the law of the land. We’re marathon-running, dog-loving partners who split our time between Baton Rouge and New Orleans, soaking in life, love, and everything in between.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?After 24 years together and 11 married, it’s hard to choose just one favorite memory. From adopting our rescue pups, Ruby and Raven, to our intimate NYC wedding, to our first overseas trip to Paris—every chapter holds something special. We’ve built a life full of adventure, laughter, and love, and each memory is a reminder of how lucky we are to have found each other.
What would you do with $20,000?We’re avid travelers and have always dreamed of buying a small RV or van to explore the U.S. with our rescue pups, Ruby and Raven. We’ve seen some of the country, but with a $20,000 prize, we’d finally take our girls on an epic cross-country adventure—visiting national parks, small towns, and all the beautiful places we’ve yet to experience together as a family.
