We’ve been together through homelessness, loss, pregnancy, and have thrived through it all. Now married with 3 kids in a 4 bedroom apartment
We would like to thank you for supporting The Meltons in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met at a coffee shop, and he taught me to make my first latte, something we still do together every morning. The odds were VERY against us, and many people didn’t want us together, but we didn’t listen. Many people turned their backs on us at first, leading us to be homeless and living in the cafe we met in. We then couch surfed while I applied for low income housing, and meanwhile we became pregnant with our first child. After he was born, we got married, and got our first apartment.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? When we spontaneously got married at the court house, no crazy wedding, just 2 witnesses and our little one month old. It was perfect.
What would you do with $20,000?Put it toward a family trip. None of us have even left our hometown since the kids were born because we haven’t had a car. I boke to work everyday. We’ve never been on a trip together and the kids, now 5, 4, and 1, are ready to see the world!
