We lift each other up, never take things too seriously, and make new adventures out of everything. We are so plainly in love, it hurts.
We would like to thank you for supporting The McDowell's in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Jordan and I met on a dating site (modern romance at its finest) but already had mutual friends from high school. After our first date, I texted a friend saying I thought I was going to marry him. Naturally, he rejected me the next morning. We hung out “as friends” on New Year's Eve, and somehow I became his first kiss. We've been totally obsessed with each other ever since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? The “first” time we got married! We were in the green room of my college theater, officiated by a friend who got ordained 30 minutes earlier. We were surrounded by friends who couldn’t come to the “real” wedding, and honestly, it was perfect. Oh, and our honeymoon? Rehearsal that night. It was chaotic, impulsive, and wildly us. Wouldn’t change a thing, and now we can say we’ve been married twice to the same person!
What would you do with $20,000?My husband and I both come from big families. From day one, our families have been our biggest supporters. We would not be where we are (or who we are) without them. If we were lucky enough to win $20,000, we wouldn’t spend it just on us. We’d use it to plan an unforgettable retreat to celebrate the people who have championed us every single step of the way. A chance to bring everyone together in one place just because they deserve it. We want to celebrate everyone who made “us” possible!
