Connect How did your love story begin?

Filipe recently arrived to the US from Brazil. In Brazil he competed professionally in Muay Thai. After a rough day at work he decided to stop in at the local Muay Thai gym. At the time, I was preparing for my 3rd fight. I was new to the sport but completely obsessed with it. Meeting Filipe & watching old videos of him fighting, I thought he was the best! He helped me train & fight. & I taught him English & helped him get assimilated to our country! We fell in love through Muay Thai ♥️

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Going to Las Vegas to get married. You just know when you want someone & you know you’ll want him/her forever. It was so much fun: good food, exploring a new city. I had a Muay Thai fight in 3 weeks & Filipe had a fight the following month, so we didn’t get to do everything we wanted. Hopefully we will go back soon.

What would you do with $20,000?

We are expecting a baby boy in October! With the prize $ we would use it to buy necessities for our baby: a crib, stroller, diapers, clothes etc. We will both work up until he is born & return to work right after. We run 2 martial arts gyms & can’t take time off! Filipe also has 2 daughters in Brazil so we want to bring them here, to be a family. This $ will help with lawyer fees, application costs etc. Family is most important so the $ will be spent building the best possible life for ours ♥️
