How did your love story begin?

We met in Theatre class in middle school. We were inseparable all throughout Middle and High School. We were together so much that our old friends say we are a staple in their own childhood memories! Then she dumped me. I graduated before she did, got into some trouble and then decided to join the Navy. She went off to college and eventually married and had a daughter. I also married and had three sons. Almost 20 years later we reunited, and our relationship is stronger than ever!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

On New Years of 2022, we had the rare chance to take a quick vacation without the kids. We spent all New Years at a river cabin in West Virginia. We locked ourselves up most of the weekend, cooking for each other, drinking wine and talking. We reconnected in a deep meaningful way and decided that we both want to get married again..and that we would make this our forever life together.

What would you do with $20,000?

A house and wedding! As a disabled veteran, it has been my dream to own a house. I have been transferring, moving and renting most of my life and would love to own a house our family can call our own. Neither one of us had the chance to have a proper wedding when we were younger. It has been important to us that we put together a ceremony that our children and family can experience with us. It may not seem like much for a lot of people, but a home and a nice wedding is our slice of heaven.
