Connect How did your love story begin?

English class in college! We both battled with our counselors to get out of it due to already having the credits or having no friends in that section before the start date began. To no avail, we both went to the first day. Payton chose the seat right next to me over a sea of empty rows. Right away, I knew he was someone special! Phone numbers were exchanged for study group purposes - and Payton quickly had questions about every assignment lol! 6 years later here we are!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our proposal story! I went to NYC on a graduation trip and Payton couldn’t make it “due to work”. In reality, he turned his location off, took a red eye flight , navigated the airports, trains, and subways and proposed to me with my grandmother’s ring in Central Park on the tail end of our trip! We proceeded to show this Nebraska boy as much east coast as possible in 24 hours! And wow was it the best jam packed day! Every favorite memory comes with some sort of spontaneous adventure!

What would you do with $20,000?

We would love to continue saving for a a larger space! We love hosting friends and family at our one bedroom apartment and while fun - we would love to have a space that can fit everyone way more often! You will always see us having holiday parties, celebrations, and socials to bring our people together. We are so lucky to be surrounded by so much love in our lives - and it is so fun to give back and thank those have supported, encouraged, and shepherded our love story!
