Connect How did your love story begin?

We met at a back-to-school dinner with friends. Bruce thought Suriya was adorable and eagerly sat next to her, but she was flustered and moved away! Still, he spent the evening making her laugh, and a beautiful friendship began. For two years, we grew close, sharing meals and late-night talks. After graduation, we moved to different states, but the distance made us realize how much we meant to each other. We overcame long-distance for several years and can now begin our forever together.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our favorite memories is our beautiful proposal in Maui. To celebrate our first anniversary, Bruce planned a surprise beach picnic proposal. As we walked along the shore, Suriya admired the view, unaware of what was coming. When she saw the setup, she gushed about how romantic it was and wondered who it was for. Then Bruce led her to it, got down on one knee, and proposed. Suriya was stunned, overjoyed, and said yes. It was the perfect, love-filled moment we’ll always cherish.

With $20,000, we’d invest in creating a warm and loving home—a space filled with comfort, laughter, and memories waiting to be made. As we’ve long dreamed of starting a family, a portion would go toward building a strong foundation for our future children, beginning with their education. This gift would help us create a nurturing home and give our little ones the best possible start in life.
