Met online during Covid, dated 2 yrs, crossed an ocean to meet, then got married, got her green card in 1 yr. Our love was fought for
We would like to thank you for supporting The Love's in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Our story starts on opposite sides of the Pacific Ocean, each of us on tinder. Due to covid I moved my location from California to New Zealand on a whim. Eventually we matched, and I messaged her. And the next day and the next, realizing she’s special. After 2 yrs I finally flew to NZ to meet and it was history from there.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Being that the first 3 years of our relationship meant being physically apart, means that my favorite memories are all the very trivial moments normal couples take for granted. The holding hands on walks and crossing streets, the going grocery shopping together, and trying a new restaurant out together, are all extra special to me. But if I had to pick 1 that was my fav, it would be the first time I witnessed her terrified, on a massive sky swing overlooking the town in Rotorua, New Zealand.
What would you do with $20,000?$20,000 would be monumental. My wife and I have put everything we have monetarily, savings included, towards all the travel, application fees, and lawyer fees needed to get her green card and establish our life here together. But that’s not the end. It’s just the beginning. We want to start a family, and to raise them in their own home. That 20k would go towards our 1st home together and be where the rest of our family, our story, begins. It would be the Love’s house.
