Our Love Story began with a shared love of good food and great music. A chance encounter at the bar top of one of Houston’s most beloved restaurants, Grace’s, led to an unexpected and unforgettable conversation. What started as small talk quickly turned into a deep connection—fueled by laughter, good vibes, and a mutual appreciation for the timeless voice of Luther Vandross. We spent hours talking that evening, completely unaware of how our worlds were about to change forever.

Our destination wedding in breathtaking Honolulu, Hawaii, holds a special place in our hearts. We stayed at the elegant, beachfront Moana Surfrider Hotel in Waikiki—where the ocean breeze and golden sunsets created the perfect backdrop for our celebration of love. From parasailing over the sparkling blue waters to exploring the lush landscapes of the Jurassic Park film location, every day was filled with adventure and awe. The highlight was our Hawaiian-themed wedding on the shoreline: Magical.

If awarded, we would use the $20,000 to launch our nonprofit organization and begin pouring back into the very community that helped shape us. Our mission is twofold: to mentor underprivileged children and to offer hope and healing to individuals of all ages who are battling mental illness. We believe that love, service, and family are the foundation of true community—and this opportunity would help us live out that belief in action.
