Jeanne was working at an animal hospital in Chelsea. George was a house call vet, traveling around the city, sometimes on his bicycle. He would pop in and out of the hospital periodically. First time I saw him, he rolled up in his spandex bike shorts! I was immediately enamored! We chatted and flirted over the next few months, then started secretly dating. About six months later, we announced our relationship to our co-workers. We soon began working together as a house call, veterinary team!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our entire honeymoon, backpacking through India has been the foundation of our life together. We grew so much as a couple during that six week trip. It was truly the beginning of our love for travel and volunteering at animal shelters in places of poverty. We raised our kids alongside us, participating in several volunteer opportunities, and we still continue to do so today.
What would you do with $20,000?I believe we would create a travel/ volunteer program for individuals/families who are willing to forego their familiar comforts, while giving back to animals and communities in need. We’re convinced, this way of travel is rewarding for all involved! Especially the animals!
