Connect How did your love story begin?

We met serving tables at a family-style restaurant that felt more like home than work. The food came family-style, and so did the love. The people became our chosen family—including us. Between long shifts, inside jokes, & late-night talks, a love quietly grew. It wasn’t planned or flashy—but it was real, steady, & meant to last. Life looks totally different now, but that little restaurant gave us more than memories. It gave us the beginning of forever. It will always hold a piece of our hearts.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

It’s a tie between our honeymoon in the Dominican Republic & our wedding day. The DR was the first time we truly slowed down—no plans, just us. We are typically go, go,go- packed itineraries but this was different. We just relaxed at the resort and took it all in. But our wedding day was something else. Everyone we love showed up with full hearts, and you could feel the love in the air. We’ll probably never have all those people in one place again, and that energy was unforgettable. Pure magic.

What would you do with $20,000?

After Hurricane Helene, we were lucky—our home was mostly spared compared to others. But we still have leaks, structural repairs, and a driveway that needs attention. If we had $20,000, we’d use it for those renovations on our farmhouse. It’s not just about fixing damage—it’s about keeping our house a safe, comfortable place for our future kids to grow up. This house has history, and we want to take care of it right.
