How did your love story begin?

John took me home one night after my shift at the bar. We are a blended family, between us we have 5 children. They blessed us with 14 grandchildren and 3 beautiful greats. With all that, John went back into the military after a 23 yr break in service. He was the 2nd rotation into Iraq and did 2 tours. We are a military family from parents, uncles, 3 sons, John and myself. Through all the strugles, our love grows everyday more and more. We are going on 36 yrs together, still in love.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

With all our memories, my favorite is the trip we took to S. Dakota. We had our trailer and got to see country that we hadn't seen before. We stayed in Durango, almost had the trailer go over the hill because we did'nt block the tires, then drove to Mt Rushmore. We came back at night for the program. What we didn't know is that all Veterans in the audience were invited to the stage to retire the flag. Can you imagine the great honor to retire our flag at a National Park!

What would you do with $20,000?

We do a lot of volunteer work with our non profit for veterans. We would like to travel and help our veterans along the way. There are so many veterans that need help in one way or another. Alot of them don't ask for help either. Whether it is a ride to Dr appointments, getting grocerys, or someone just to talk to. We need to do more for our veterans.
