Connect How did your love story begin?

My husband and I met in 2015 when I was active duty military. I had planned a house gathering for some friends and he came as a friend of a friend. From the moment we met we have been inseparable getting married only 5 1/2 months after our first conversation. We decided to get married on New Years night 2016 with a surprise wedding. We invited 50 of our closest family and friends to a dinner party and they were shocked to see it was a candle lit night wedding! Beautiful is an understatement.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

I would have to say one of my favorite memories was after I had a health crisis. I had just had a stroke 3 months before and was unable to walk. I looked at my husband with tears and asked him to please leave me because I didn’t want to be a burden. I asked him to please live his life and be happy. He responded “Don’t ever say anything like that to me again. I will never leave you, there is no me without you.” It was a beautiful moment and we both cried. 4 years later we are stronger than ever!

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000 we would finally be able to have our honeymoon vacation! Due to our work schedule we were never able to go unfortunately. We are still holding out hope that one day we’ll finally get that chance and what better way than to bring it in with our 10 year anniversary! Thank you for considering us!
