We met in a trailer park in college! Daylight savings had just hit, and I was helping him change the time on his phone, back when you actually had to do that manually. And while I was at it.. I casually slipped my number in. Right in front of him. Well he didn’t call! He played hard to get totally a Billy move! We had the same friend group, so we continued to find ourselves together and one day I mentioned that my middle name was Merrie and he said hmm that would be a lot of Ms M-M-M hmm!

We were walking on the river walk. I slipped my hand into his pocket, to hold his hand, I felt something small. He slapped my hand away, suspiciously! Well the gig was up, so he had to pivot fast, he went down on one knee, we happened to be near a random bar balcony and a drunk guy was throwing up right above us, romantic! He pulls out the ring & just as he does, his foot slips on the gravel next to the water, we both froze and luckily he had a tight grip! It was the easiest yes of my life!

If we were gifted the money, it wouldn’t just change our life, it would help us to continue to live our purpose. I'm launching Surviving to Becoming and The Pup Project two dreams of mine rooted in healing, love and helping others break out of survival mode. Guiding people through holistic health, health retreats. The Pup Project gives rescue dogs the same a chance to heal from trauma, rebuild trust, and find forever homes where their story continues to inspire.
