Connect How did your love story begin?

We matched on hinge originally. He followed me on instagram from April 2023 till we finally met in August 2023 after matching on bumble. We met at the Detroit zoo because we both love penguins. Meeting on Bumble and having our first date at the zoo wasn’t just cute—it set the tone for a relationship filled with curiosity, laughter, and a sense of wonder. A year later we got engaged at the same zoo! We honor our story and keep each other close to our shared beginnings.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our favorite memories as a couple was the weekend we house-sat for Connor’s mom. It was one of the first times we got to just slow down and enjoy each other’s company without distractions. He took me around Hartland, showing me the places that meant something to him growing up and it made me feel so close to his world. That night, he made me his special pasta, and we curled up together to watch Meet Joe Black. I remember feeling so safe, so at peace. I felt at home with him. We both knew!

What would you do with $20,000?

If we were lucky enough to win this competition, we would use the money to remodel and refresh our home turning it into a space that reflects the love, warmth, and future we’re building together. We want to create a safe, cozy, and functional environment not just for ourselves, but for the family we hope to grow in the coming years. From updating outdated rooms to making space for new traditions, this opportunity would help us lay the foundation literally and emotionally for the next chapter!
