We met after I lost my first wife to illness. She had been alone raising her children for over 20 years. Came here from Africa 20 years ago.
We would like to thank you for supporting The Hollidays in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met on eharmony. I had just lost my wife of 36 years to health issues and she had come to the US about 20 years ago and raised her children. We talked and texted for 3 weeks before meeting in person. I started writing poetry sending her poems and love songs almost every day. We fell in love quickly. She got me with her beautiful accent and how kind and caring she was. I waited until our first date to tell her I love her and she felt the same. 6 months later we were married and 3 years now.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? There are so many but certainly traveling together. I never had a passport before I met her. We have now been to Paris, Barcelona, Lisbon, Venice, Amsterdam, Malta, Sicily, Athens, and London. Also 3 weddings for our children, 2 new grandchildren, and a graduation. Numerous concerts and shorter getaways. Everything is better when you share the journey with the one you love.
What would you do with $20,000?My wife started supporting orphans in her hometown in Zambia, Africa. We would love to support them more and her dream is to build an orphanage school and church there. This would be seed money for that. We believe God has blessed us with a beautiful love and marriage in order to be a blessing to others.
