How did your love story begin?

We met during hard times, never realizing how much we needed each other. Work brought us together as friends, even in different states. We vented, laughed, gave each other hell—and it just clicked. As military vets, our bond grew deeper. Friendship turned into unspoken love until we took the risk and said, “I love you.” To out relief, we felt the same. After a year, 3 months, and 22 days of knowing each other from afar, meeting in person felt like home—familiar, safe, and full of fireworks.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memories of us is our first time meeting in person. We planned to go to Jersey Shore but had no clue how the trains worked—so we just hopped on and rode until something looked familiar. We ended up outside Times Square in New York. It didn’t matter where we were. Being somewhere new, with no real plan, just laughing and enjoying the moment with the person I love—that feeling of adventure, comfort, and pure happiness will always stay with us.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000, we’d finally have the chance to breathe a little easier as a couple and family. We’d use it to build a more stable foundation—pay off lingering debts, secure reliable transportation, and set aside savings for emergencies. We’d invest in our home to make it a safe, comfortable space for our kids. Most importantly, we’d use part of it to create memories together—something small but meaningful, like a family trip or experience we’ve never been able to afford.
