We will celebrate our 40th anniversary in December. We have held onto each other through 40 yrs, and the recent passing of youngest.

I picked my husband up on the beach in Vero Beach, Florida. At least that is what he says. I said hi to him when he was stretching out getting ready to run. I laid down on a towel and fell asleep. Woke up to sand crunching as he paced after his run. I said you look thirsty would you like an apple. It was all I had and so I tossed him an apple. He left with my number and called me that evening asking if I had dinner. I had so he asked me for dessert. I knew he was it on the first date.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?He says “every day with you is a favorite “ and I have a lot of favorites. A recent one is our trip to Hawaii. I had inherited money when my parents died and I wanted to make a memory for us. Every day was an adventure together, a place for us to discover together. We rented a car to drive and drove with tbe top down until we got caught in the rain and couldn’t figure out how to put it up. We were laughing so hard and it made the trip so fun. Laughing together is our favorite thing.
What would you do with $20,000?We want to go back to Hawaii so that would be one thing. The other is I’d like us to go to Italy. I went with friends and every day I wished I could share the experience with my husband. We would also use some to help our daughter out who will have her second child in November.
