David and I met the summer after I graduated high school in 2008. I started working at the local movie theater to save money for college in the fall. David was already working there as he was starting his schooling to become a firefighter. A few shifts sweeping popcorn off the floors and stealing glances, and David asked me out on a date. Seventeen years later he still gives me butterflies.

It sounds cliche, but this is so incredibly hard. We have been so fortunate over the years to share many momentous occasions. From trips abroad while we were still engaged, to honeymoons, baby moons, firsts, lasts, and most recently Stanley Cup winning shenanigans - we have seen it all. A top memory for me is when we danced for hours in Peadar Kearneys pub in Ireland in 2014 - I was abroad and hadn’t seen David in months. Dancing that night I just kept thinking how I had found my husband.

Honestly, we would put it towards a down payment on a new home. Like many couples our age we bought a nice little starter home, which in this economy has quickly turned into a forever home unless something significant changes. 20k would make a huge impact on our ability to move our family into a much more comfortable forever home.
