Connect How did your love story begin?

We met at Safeway while working together when I was 19 years old & he was 17 years old. I fell in love with him the moment I met him. But never told him how I felt the entire time we worked together. He left for the Marine Corp after graduation. I didn't act on my feelings until 15 years later. We stayed in each others lives throughout the years. But we were both with other people. In 2018 we reconnected on POF and have been together ever since.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

The first time he told me he loved me, he said it in French. The time he was talking to me in a Facebook voice message and he forgot it was still recording and just started singing "Farts & whistles, farts & whistles, there's another fart, I'm so tired." Then he realized he was still recording and said "Oh crap sorry baby." So now I call it Our Love Song. The way he lays his head in my lap and all I have to do is scratch his head for a minute & he falls asleep in my lap.

What would you do with $20,000?

Pay off debt, put money in savings, and plan the trip to Japan that my husband wants to take me on. He served 8 years in the Marine Corp & was stationed in Japan for 2 years. He wants to take me to a bunch of places he went. We missed 15 years together and to be able to least go back to a place he spent 2 years of his life & see everywhere he visited. To make new memories with him in these places would be amazing.
