In 2018, second semester of junior year, Jeremy & I met. He was from Alabama. I was from Michigan. We both transferred from local colleges to Freed-Hardeman University, located in Henderson Tennessee. Jeremy changed his major from Nursing to Social Work the semester I transferred to Freed. We had essentially every class together & one month before graduation we committed to a long distance relationship over a simple “ok”. This October we’ll be celebrating 5 years of marriage. Yay!

Dedicating our lives to Christ. Two years ago, at family faith night, we discussed the topic of The Lifeboat. We were placed in small groups to share our testimonies about when we were pulled into Christ’s lifeboat followed by, ”Are you saved?” Jeremy & I both grew up in the church but struggled to answer that question with confidence. Many tears later we were both baptized into the body of Christ which has had such a positive impact on our marriage. God is good!

We’ve jokingly asked each other, “What would change if we won the lottery?” I believe our answer to that question is the same as what if we were to win $20,000. We’d bless those around us. God has done so much for us. We recently purchased our first home & have been overwhelmed by the love & support we’ve received lately. This gift can touch the lives of so many people. The least we can do is bless others with the gift of money.
