My wife and I met in December of 2015. The twist? She lived in Guatemala and I lived in the US. After many years, we are finally together ❣️
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
Many years ago, my best friend introduced me via email to his wife's best friend, a woman that lived in Guatemala. Initially, I was skeptical about the idea of a long distant relationship, but after seeing her photos, I decided to reach out to her. We communicated for a month and felt like we were in a relationship already so we made it official and decided to embark on our relationship that transcended countries.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?I thought he was so handsome and I decided to call him first. He answered "What's up Sherlyn?". He thought he was being flirty and I thought he didn't want to talk to me because in my culture, that is a rude way to answer the phone. The conversation didn't start out great, but our understanding and love grew so fast that we decided to stick to each other. Now we laugh every time we think about that phone call. 😅
What would you do with $20,000?We are currently in the process of finding a new home. We have been waiting for six years to finally be together. Now that we are, we would love to have a new place to call home.
