We met on our college’s ski trip. When I met him I told him “Hi my name is Carissa and I am going to become your best friend by the end of this trip”, he laughed. One night a student threw a rock at my head and I started bleeding. My husband, who barely knew me was instantly protective of me. He stayed up all night talking to me from the balcony next to mine to make sure I didn’t fall asleep incase I had a concussion. That night I fell in love with him and we did in fact become best friends.

The night through the next morning of the day we got engaged. We got engaged at Disney. The park closed at 11 and we stayed all day. Once we left, my car kept making a kicking motion and we didn’t feel like it was safe so we pulled over. We called Triple A around and they said it would take awhile. We kept calling but they never showed, it was 6:45 am and my mom brought us something that helped. Before we left we saw the jellyfish rocket launch which wouldn’t have seen if we didn’t break down.

We would like to buy a house. My husband and I would really like to grow roots where we are at. We have so many amazing people in our lives and we are hoping to start a family soon. We want to begin to build our foundation, start growing roots, and turn a house into a home. Being able to buy a house before we have a baby would be such an amazing blessing.
