We were set up on a blind date. Most boring date ever. I cooked lasagna which was the best part of the night. Tony Fell asleep on the floor watching a boring war movie. My roommate told him to stay in our room mates room, she was gone that weekend. My thoughts were,”oh no, how am I going to get rid of him in the morning “ We have been together 40 years, married nearly 37.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

I would say either when the doctor that delivered our youngest said what we thought was “I will be right back, I am going to have a quickie” or when we thought a bear might be outside out tent…and was licking our children to death! The hubby says maybe our day trip to Macinaw Island with our three daughters or a shot gun wedding in a remote chapel in the mountains of Wyoming. Oh wait, being robbed by masked bandits while camping in MN ranks pretty close up there. So many we couldn’t pick one!

What would you do with $20,000?

We would go on the trip we have had to postpone our entire marriage due to kids, or other things! WE would go to Australia, & maybe New Zealand. We really want to see kangaroo in the Wild & snorkel in a coral reef area. We want to meet aborigines & hear their stories out in the outback. See a theater or music production in the Opera house in Sydney, & travel around in a motorhome to see the country side. Explore the National parks of New Zealand, see Lord of the ring’s & hobbit land sets, etc.
