Michael and I first met through my cousin Jacob. Jacob and Michael have been friends since middle school, and while I remember seeing Michael around, he was always just “Jacob’s friend.” That all changed when I turned 21 and began going out more with my cousin. Over time we found ourselves around eachother more often—and something just clicked. What started as casual hangouts turned into a genuine friendship, and over time, that friendship grew into something deeper.

One evening, Michael and I decided to go for a walk. As we made our way back home, it suddenly began to rain. Without umbrellas or a plan, we took off running—laughing, soaked, and completely carefree. The rain poured down on us, but in that moment, it felt like something straight out of a movie. That spontaneous, joy-filled night remains one of our favorite memories.

If we were given $20,000, Michael and I would put it toward our wedding in February 2026 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It would help us create a special and memorable celebration with loved ones. We’d also love to save a portion of it to go toward a future down payment on a home as we start this new chapter together after the wedding.
