Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story began with me praying for what I want in a wife. Her instagram page popping up with no mutual followers the next day. I wasn’t going to reach out but I did and said, “You are very beautiful, are you single and in Atlanta and are you a woman of God with Jesus as your Lord and savior?” She said yes she is but she did not live in Atlanta, BUT she was already coming down the next week to see her family. I took her on 1 date when she got down here and now 7 months later were engaged!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory we’ve shared as a couple so far is my marriage proposal I did this past Sunday, 6/22. She had absolutely no idea it was happening. I took her on a “date” to a wonderful Thai restaurant. Had flowers and a camera sent ahead of time. I was crying the entire night and she had no idea why. Not until I stood up, and referenced the sermon from church earlier that day about “change” and said, “I want to change your last name” pulled the box out and got on a knee. And she said yes!

What would you do with $20,000?

We would donate $2000 of the 20k to our respective churches. We would spend a little more than half of what remained of the 18k on arranging our wedding. And we would put the rest towards finding somewhere to live together.
