Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story began the summer before high school. Harold was my first boyfriend and I was his first girlfriend. We dated throughout high school; despite attending rival high schools. I attended his football games and he attended my badminton matches. Our high-school years were magical, memorable, and what Harold would call, “destined to be.”

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Although it may seem cliche, our favorite memory we share as a couple, is our wedding day. On February 13, 2021, Harold and I found ourselves in the exact place where we had first met 27 years earlier. However, now we were older, wiser, and ready to say, “I do.” On that day, in the company of a small group a family and friends, Harold and I exchanged vows and made a lifetime commitment. The day was filled with love, tears, laughter, and joy.

What would you do with $20,000?

If Harold and I won $20,000, we would use the money as a seed for a family compound. We frequently talk of purchasing and developing a space for all our family to be together. We would start by building a family center—a place for the family to come together and create memories. Eventually, we would like for each member to build a home on the land. Twenty-thousand dollars would be a GREAT start for our dream!
