How did your love story begin?

In September of 1993 we saw each other at a concert but didn’t speak. May 94 he showed up at my apt with some friends and everything clicked. We have been in love and married for 31 years. We are best friends. We balance each other and help each other through everything. He still makes me laugh and I wouldn’t change a thing. We may not be wealthy but we are rich!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Too many! My 1st fav memory is in July 94 while driving up to NY from TN to see his hometown. He “accidentally” proposed to me singing the Beautiful Ones by Prince. “If we got married would that be cool?” I laughed , “sure why not?” He immediately pulled over and asked if I was serious. I responded “idk are you?”. He thought he was. I knew I was! Thus we got engaged just a couple months after meeting. We married and ev1 said we would fail. We’re still standing together! 2 sons 2 grands 31 yrs!

What would you do with $20,000?

The thrifty side of me says pay off medical debt from my NDE and degenerative diseases. My heart says travel. A week alone somewhere nice and a week with the whole family. It would definitely be refreshing to not be so tight and it would be nice to have a bit of cushion as my health continues to decline. None of us are promised tomorrow. Building more memories with my family would be first priority. Who knows maybe we would buy a camper and start a new life as nomads? Anything’s possible w/US!
